The
Civil Engineering Department at Shri.
Gulabrao Deokar polytechnic, Jalgaon is one
of the most dynamic and forward-looking
departments in our institution. Our program
is designed to equip students with both the
theoretical knowledge and practical skills
essential for a successful career in the
diverse field of civil engineering.
Civil Engineering is a broad field that
involves the planning, design, construction,
and maintenance of infrastructure such as
buildings, roads, bridges, and water supply
systems.
At Shri. Gulabrao Deokar polytechnic,
Jalgaon, the Civil Engineering Department
offers a comprehensive curriculum,
incorporating advanced technologies and
methods to prepare students for the
challenges of modern civil engineering.
We are committed to providing our students
with a holistic learning experience that
includes both classroom instruction and
hands-on learning opportunities. With
well-equipped laboratories, workshops, and
modern software tools, students gain
exposure to the real-world applications of

-
Surveying Laboratory
This lab is equipped with instruments
like, the odo lites, levels, and other
surveying tools used to measure and
analyze land areas, elevations, and
distances.
-
Strength of Materials Laboratory
In this laboratory, students perform
experiments to study the physical
properties of construction materials
like concrete, steel, and wood. The lab
includes testing machines such as
universal testing machines, compression
testing machines, and impact testers.
-
Concrete Technology Laboratory
This lab focuses on testing the
properties of fresh and including
workability, compressive strength, and
durability, using various testing
equipment and molds.
-
Geotechnical Engineering Laboratory
This laboratory is used for testing the
properties of soil and other materials,
such as permeability, compaction,
etcwhich are essential to take the
knowledge of this subject.
-
PHE (Public Health Engineering)
Laboratory
The Public Health Engineering (PHE)
Laboratory focuses on the study and
analysis of water and wastewater
systems, sanitation, and environmental
health. It plays a key role in training
students in the design, construction,
and maintenance of water supply, sewage,
and drainage systems.
-
Mechanics Laboratory
The Mechanics Laboratory is designed to
help students understand and apply the
principles of mechanics to solve
engineering problems. This lab focuses
on the study of forces, moments, and the
equilibrium of materials and structures.
